Cardiothoracic Surgery Coding Specialist

We are hiring now and have an immediate need for Cardiothoracic Surgery Coding SpecialistsThis is a remote position, employee status working at least 15 hours per week.

Responsibilities

This position will provide high-quality E/M, procedure and surgery coding across multiple specialties. This position also provides education to providers related to coding. The position will focus on cardiology, cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries.

Qualifications

  • Current CPC or equivalent through the AAPC or AHIMA required
  • Will be required to pass client’s internal screening
  • Must have at least two years of active E/M coding experience for cardiology, cardiothoracic and vascular inpatient/outpatient visits and surgeries.
  • Must have at least three years of active surgery coding experience
  • Must be able to maintain a 95% accuracy rate
  • Coders for this role must provide their own computer with a Professional Windows Based Operating System (MAC is not compatible) and dual monitors
